I asked someone who read Hurricane what they thought of it. "Hmmm... I'm trying to decide if it's a good story or not."
That's the problem with allegory. Would it help if I said that:
hurricane = Obama
continent = Washington D.C.
earth = electorate
heron = Clinton
older hurricane = whoever will be elected in 2012
Or, fill in your own interpretation.
