My entry in Michael J. Solender's "Spring Done Sprung" writing contest took an Honorable Mention. The rules of the contest were as follows:
Any flash genre accepted

All entries MUST be 500 words or less

All entries MUST incorporate these five words: Queasy, Alarming, Beast, Patronize, Avoid
Look for it to appear next week on his website, "Not from here, are you?"

n.b. If my story appears on April 1, know that it's not a joke. I meant every word of it.
