Wednesday #Poetry: Dainty, Haunting, Tantalize

Welcome to my regular Wednesday poetry corner, brought to you by Three Word Wednesday and One Shot Wednesday.

Today's words are dainty, haunting, tantalize.

E'er haunting the dark stygian deeps
The thirsty man Tantalus weeps
No dainty tears here
'mid water so near
To tantalize just out of reach.

Why not listen to me read it? It'll be the best 12 seconds of your day:

Listen!

  11. Thief, murderer and all round bad guy and still looking for sympathy?

He killed his own son to feed him to the gods! Endless torment without food and water seems pretty tame punishment.

    Great interpretation of the prompt.

Kill me ded in twelve seconds -- maybe thirty, since I read it twice before listening. Well done.
