Oh my goodness - once again, you have led us into thick literary layers and still served up some hot, waxy entertainment. I am, as usual, in awe, Mr. Noland.
The first two paragraphs add up to something so darned funny. Yes, I get the dark spots it goes to, but my strongest reaction was up front. Of course a dude is proud of his work!
Thank you for leaving a comment. The staff at Landless will treat it with the same care that we would bestow on a newly hatched chick. By the way, no pressure or anything, but have you ever considered subscribing to Landless via RSS?
Interesting. Not the ending I was expecting. Very good, Mr. Noland. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a lot different from your usual stuff but that's no bad thing. Methinks Mr Noland has a dark side!
ReplyDeleteRed: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.
ReplyDeleteIcy: Dark side? Me? Oh, my goodness yes.
An excellent compromise. Well done. I really was expecting something Truly Evil™ to happen to Brooke, but I think it works just fine.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask though... Does she get her Belle rung?
**thumbs up** Defiantly a different piece, might have needed a cold shower is there was much more ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, quite a bit different from your usual fare. A bit on the S&M side, but very well done!
ReplyDeleteDang Tony. You should write a cheesy romance novel. It'd be a bestseller.
ReplyDeleteD. Paul: You didn't think this was Truly Evil™? But in order to summon the devil you need Belle, Brooke and candle...
ReplyDeleteAnthony: Glad you liked it! 8-)
ganymeder: Yep, "different" is the order of the day here.
John Pender: You should write a cheesy romance novel. Is there any other kind? 8-)
Yikes! I'm going to go read it again....

ReplyDeletepeace...
You kept the excitement level high and twisted a bit at the ending. Excellent job!
ReplyDeleteWasn't expecting that ending! LOL You are right, it is pretty different from your usual work. So . . . was it fun?
ReplyDeletepegjet: It gets better on the second reading. 8-)
ReplyDeleteApple: I'm happy to be of service, Ms. Scott.
John: I know I always am. Of course, I do a fist pump every time I hit the hamper with my socks.
Helen: Not fully dark, though. Only dark-ish. ;-)
Alison: I'm glad you liked it!
Linda: Heh, I hope that's a good sort of reaction.
Eric: Thanks, Eric!
storytreasury: So . . . was it fun? This question needs a full blog post to answer properly. Look for it tomorrow morning.
Arggghhh... I can't find the jump...
